There are several window replacement companies in Calgary from which you can choose, and while you can use the internet to search for rankings on sites like HomeStars.com and the BBB, sometimes it is helpful to look at what goes on behind the scenes. Here is some information about two of the high-rated window replacement companies in Calgary – Ecoline and Supreme Windows.
Supreme Windows has more than 30 years' experience in the business, and they offer a wide variety of high quality Energy Star rated products. Their focus is on residential applications, and they enjoy an A+ ranking from the Better Business Bureau. This company turns their attention to innovation and quality, thus giving consumers plenty of options when it comes to window choices. They also replace or install French, garden, entry, and patio doors upon request.
Of course, everything looks great on paper, but a few things stand out. These include:
As you can see, while Supreme Windows certainly lives up to expectation in some areas, some things are still mysteries. If you choose to contact this company, be sure to ask them about their warranties, and find out whether a "lifetime" warranty applies to the actual lifetime of the window or the expected lifetime. This makes a huge difference in the event something goes wrong in the future.
Ecoline Windows also works in Calgary, and they have excellent ratings all around. People are impressed with the quality of their custom-made windows, too. However, upon reviewing their website, their scope of services seems incredibly limited. They focus only on windows in residential settings, and while they claim that they also provide replacement entry doors, they only do so when their clients order window replacement, as well. Here are some other things to consider:
All in all, if you are willing to wait up to 10 weeks for your windows, and if you are willing to pay a premium price for them, then Ecoline is a solid contender. However, be sure to ask them about their guarantee on workmanship and installation. Their website clearly provides a 25-year warranty on frames, glass, and hardware, but it does not mention any kind of warranty on the actual labor.
With so many windows replacement companies from which to choose, deciding which one is right for you often seems difficult. Remember to pay close attention to the company's social media page and their website, and ask questions about things like warranties and labor guarantees.
